It’s official! Thursday the 3rd of November, Grenoble University Hospital and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) signed an unprecedented partnership in France.
This agreement, an effective institutional project, will allow the two organizations to come up with an unprecedented model of mutually beneficial collaboration between a university hospital centre and a humanitarian organization. The cooperation between the two organizations will be initiated by the provision of Grenoble University Hospital doctors for MSF humanitarian missions. A pool of five voluntary emergency doctors will be set up in early 2017. These practitioners will work 80% for the Grenoble University Hospital and the rest of the time they will be engaged in short-term missions with MSF. This ambitious new partnership is a part of Grenoble University Hospital’s international development strategy.
